Teluk Intan's leaning tower is 123 years old

The famous Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan built in 1885 is located at the Square in the town centre. There I was on a Sunday morning 25.5.2008 standing atop the 2nd floor of the tower to get a bird's eye view of the town centre. The 3rd floor upward is inaccessible to public as it contained the water tank.

Seen from outside, the tower which is made of bricks and wood gives the impression of an 8-storey structure but actually it has 3 storey only.

Entrance to the tower is free everyday from Mon - Fri 9.00 am - 5.00 pm and Sat, Sun & Public Holiday 8.00 am - 6.00 pm.

The water tank, as seen on the ceiling of the 2nd floor, is located on the 3rd floor and is made of steel with height of 5 metres and can store 18.36 cubic metres of water.

The shopping complex named after the famous leaning tower is located next to the Square.
