Wesak Day 2009 celebration at Amitabha Buddhist Society in SEA Park, Petaling Jaya


Hundreds of devotees converged at the Amitabha Buddhist Society premises in Section 21 SEA Park, Petaling Jaya on Saturday 9th May 2009 to join in the Wesak Day celebration .

Religious offerings to Lord Buddha and ‘bathing the Buddha’ ritual were held at its premises by devotees who were served vegetarian food during lunch time.

Wesak Day falls on the 15th of the fourth moon (lunar calendar) and is the most auspicious day in the Buddhist calendar, marking the birth, enlightenment and death of Buddha.
