Cheng Long Kong Temple in PJ Old Town celebrates birthday anniversary


The renowned Cheng Long Kong Temple (also known as Jin Long Gong) located at No.35, Jalan 1/2 in Petaling Jaya Old Town held a 5-day temple anniversary celebration from Aug 10 - 14, 2009.

Thousands of worshippers thronged the temple to offer prayers to the resident deity Loke Yan Sin Sze where they seek good fortune, good health and longevity.

An 8-course Chinese dinner for over 2,000 guests and an entertainment show were held at the large open space in front of the temple on Aug 12, 2009.

Guests of honour Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian and Bukit Gasing state assemblyman Edward Lee joined over 2,000 dining guests at the grand gala dinner held in celebration of the the birthday anniversary of the Cheng Long Kong Temple.

Both YBs made a donation of RM2,500.00 each for the temple's development fund.



The Cheng Long Kong temple in Petaling Jaya Old Town is crowded with worshippers offering prayers in celebration of the temple birthday anniversary.

The five paper horse effigies symbolise earth, water, wind, fire and metal which sustain life.


Burning joss stick are placed into this big urn of smouldering ashes. The urn bear the name Cheng Long Kong Temple.
