Good response to blood donation drive

As a socially responsible corporate citizen, a leading local bank in Kuala Lumpur recently organiszed a blood donation drive amongst its staff to fulfil its role in contributing to the community by helping boost blood supplies at blood banks in the country.

It received a tremendous response from the employees to donate blood. More than 100 donors participated in the campaign held at the bank's premises.
Syabas! Well done, people!

Donating blood is a noble way to serve humanity.

This donor says this is his seventh time donating blood.

A donor gets his haemoglobin level and blood group type checked first by a staff from the mobile unit of Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Bank) - a standard procedure before given the green light by the doctor to donate blood. This is to ensure that he is eligible to donate. Then when completed this step, the next step would be ....

...to get the potential donor's blood pressure checked. If all is fine, then he/she would proceed to donate blood.

Look not painful at all.

Blood donors: It was definitely a wonderful feeling to be able to witness such generosity in them.

It was good to see blood donors of different faiths and of all ages came together to donate blood and because of them, more lives are being saved.

After donating blood, donors were given opportunity to savour cups of hot Milo and delicious biscuits to replenish the sugar and fluids in their bodies.
