Enjoy the photos taken during Johnson's Baby Powder Jom Main! Family Day.

Children having fun with colourful clowns and stilt walkers.

These huge and colourful inflatable bouncers in various designs are an attraction for kids.

A great treat for children playing the great Titanic bouncer.

Children have full of fun with their friends playing in inflatable bouncers.

Children truly enjoy having their faces painted and are fascinated with the transformation of their faces.

This little girl enjoys the face painting session by a professional face painter.

Parents and their children making their own kite and flying it.

This kid steadily does it on his own with mum watching.

Parent and child bonding: Playing together is a simple way to accomplish quality communication with children and enjoy the child parent bond.

Kids just love kites: It's more fun for adults to share kite flying with the kids.

Children get the chance to master new physical challenges by going through the obstacle course.

Children building confidence through the obstable course.

The obstacle course creates lots of fun for the children and they can do it over and over until they perfect their run!

The kind of togetherness: - Families having fun playing games that will promote family growth and bonding.

The silat gayong team from Section 17, Shah Alam with their instructor Saiful Bukhari Mohd Amin.

The Indian martial art silambam team from Persatuan Silambam Malaysia Kelab Batu with their chief instructor K. Vinothan (Standing in centre). The students are from aged 8 - 12 and will take part as a competitive sport in Sukan Malaysia (Sukma) 2010 to be held in Malacca. Contact: kelab_silambam_batu@yahoo.com

Silambam is a weapon-based Indian martial art. Seen here is a stick fight pose.

A pose showing other weapon used in silambam such as the maduvu (deer horn).

A section of the crowd watching performance at the main stage.

A childhood game: Playing “la la li la tam pong” (by turning the palm up and down following the rhythm of the verse). I wonder how many of our children still play such game when they are entertained by the television and computer games.

The smashing drumline performance by KL Drumline Corp.

The KL Drumline drummers enthralled the crowd with their musical talents.

Martial Arts Demonstration:

1. Aikido -
A unique style of Japanese self defense martial art.

An opponent is sent flying upon the slightest touching.

The word Aikido means "way of harmony" and it is said to be the only form of martial arts that doesn't attack. It takes out opponents with little effort.

2. Taekwondo: A Korean martial art.

Tae = foot, Kwon = hand, Do = way, Taekwondo means the way of striking with the foot and punching with the hands.

Doing a high jump kick with both legs in the air and striking the plank into half with the foot.

A taekwondo student shows his taekwondo skills by attempting to break a plank into half with a flying sidekick.

First by focussing his attention on the plank and then ....

...up goes the deadly flying side kick and ....

...striking the plank into half.

3. Silat gayong:
A Malay martial art of self-defence.

Martial arts could teach every child respect, confidence, integrity and discipline.

Throwing an opponent off balance.

Immobilizing and taking the opponent down to the floor.

4. Silambam
- An Indian martial art.

Unarmed silambam is known as Kuttu Varisai (empty hand combat). The man makes a snatch on the lady's handbag. She holds tight to her handbag.

The handbag drops to the ground. The man ran and was chased by the lady who practices silambam.

The man is lying on the ground without knowing what hit him. His accomplice rushes to help him.

He picks up a stick to attack the lady who uses various bare hand combat techniques to defend herself.

She immobilizes the man by taking him to the floor.

Two down, one more to go! Another accomplice comes rushing to attack her.

A grappling ensued.

The third opponent is brought down! Now that's martial art!
A silambam exponent single-handedly brings down three opponents. Wow! I wished I have learned this art.
