The Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin, looks almost life-like when you stared at the statue long enough. In this statue, Kuan Yin is pouring a stream of healing water from a small vase.
Offerings are made to Kuan Yin at the Cempaka Buddhist Lodge dedicated to her.

Apart from the main Buddha and Kuan Yin statues, the temple also houses other deities such as Tong Sam Chong (Monk who required Buddhist).

The Cempaka Buddhist Lodge located at No.60, Jalan SS23/25 Taman SEA, Petaling Jaya attracts large numbers of worshippers.
Worshippers enjoy free vegetarian lunch served by volunteers.
But they need to clean up their own plates, spoons and cups after the meal.
It was the birthday of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy which felled on Sunday, March 15, 2009 (also the 19th day of the second lunar month) so my friends and I decided to go for prayers and vegetarian lunch at Cempaka Buddhist Lodge at Taman SEA in Petaling Jaya.
Kuan Yin birthday’s is celebrated on the 19th day of the 2nd, 6th and 9th moon of the Lunar calendar.
When we reached Cempaka Buddhist Lodge about 11.00 am, there were already hundreds of people congregated at the main prayer hall offering prayers and seeking blessings while the monks recited verses.
Photos-taking were freely allowed here as opposed to Sau Seng Lam Buddhist Temple in Petaling Jaya which prohibit it.
