SS25 MCA Lifelong Learning Centre celebrates Open Day and Chinese New Year open house


The SS25 MCA Lifelong Learning Centre held its Open Day and Chinese New Year open house at its centre at Mayang Industrial Park in Petaling Jaya on Sunday, February 22, 2009.

It was a very successful event attended by more than 500 people who joined in the celebration with the guests being entertained to performances of dragon dance, lion dance and Chinese fan dance. The guests were enthralled by the dragon and lion dance performances by three-time world champion Malaysia Khuan Loke Dragon and Lion Dance Association troupe with their energetic and amazing moves and balancing acts.

The atmosphere there was full of bustle and excitement. Many took the opportunity to enrol for the various courses and workshops offered by the centre such as :

Basic English/Japanese Conversation, Malay/Mandarin Language, Business Mandarin
Personal Grooming, Cooking, Handicraft
Art, Graphic Design
Yoga Foundation
Children Mental Arithmatic
Singing and Choir

Success and You Workshop
Life Drama Workshop



The open day is to allow more people to know and be aware of the various courses offered by this centre and its activities and the Chines New Year open house is aimed at cultivating a better relationship with the neighbourhood.

The guests were treated to a delicious buffet lunch.

Organising chairman Ch’ng Soo Chau delivered a welcome speech and hoped more people will know about this centre and its activities through the event.

Lifelong Learning Centre chairman and Wanita MCA chief Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun said the centre provide access to lifelong learning skills to Malaysians and encouraged more people to join the various courses offered at the centre.
